Yearly Awards

Fresh Face in Engineering - Educator of the Year - Engineer of the Year

The SEAU Board is currently collecting nominations from individual members and companies for Engineer of the Year, Fresh Faces of Engineering, and Educator of the Year for SEAU.  In the past, these awards were solely focused on by the Utah Engineers Council (UEC), but now the SEAU Board would like to recognize these individuals for their excellence in our profession.  Nominations for these three awards will be accepted by the SEAU Board through August 7th,  after which the Board will consider the candidates and vote on a winner for each category.  Winners will be recognized at the September SEAU Social and become SEAU's nomination for the statewide UEC awards of the same name.  SEAU's nominees will compete at UEC against nominees from other professional engineering societies such as AAEE, ACEC-Utah, AIAA, ASCE, ASHRAE, ASME, ASPE, AWWA, IEEE, ITE, SAME, SWE, UCEA, UCLS, USPE and WTS.
